Sermon preached on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Garden Valley Chapel during our morning worship service based on Selected Scripture.

Nearly everyone missed that first Christmas. There was only a handful that did not miss that glorious event that we have come to celebrate.

Like people today, they were busy. Things have a way of consuming all our attention. Some are important while others not so important.

You would be amazed at the similarities between the world of long ago at the advent of our Lord Jesus Christ and this world we live in today.

The similarities are striking to say the least – between that ancient society and modern society.

Today I want to take a close look at the people who missed Christmas and their resemblance to many today. This message is most convicting because in the end it begs the question, will you miss Christmas?

I want to look at three individuals. Three different groups of people who missed Christmas in the hope that you will not miss Christmas.
