Sermon preached on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Garden Valley Chapel during our worship morning service based on Ephesians 4:13-16.

Take your Bible if you will and open it to the book of Ephesians chapter four. We continue in what I believe sets the pattern for the building and function of His church.

By now you have probably seen the various marketing-driven techniques of seeker-sensitive churches who have entertained people into God´s kingdom through pop music, dramatic skits, stand-up comedy, and bite-size biblical truth.

More recently you may witness the emerging church of today "contextualize" the truth by translating it into the basest of behaviors.

Is this how we are to build a church and to grow a church? NO. We do not need to reinvent the church to bring people in.

I know you that you know that Christ loves the church. I know that you share that love for the church too. You want to see it grow spiritually, influentially, and numerically.

But how does God produce church growth? For that we turn to God´s Word which will serve for the standard for building His church.

Listen as I read this portion of Scripture. Read Ephesians 4:11-16.
