The Torres family had a wonderful time at Phil Layton’s ordination service on Sunday, June 16. This marked a special day in Phil’s life as the elders affirmed His calling into Gospel ministry. It was an eventful evening to say the least. His father gave a brief family history. I was deeply moved by the kind words of his father to his son – all on Father’s Day too. Phil Johnson was asked to be the speaker for the evening, preaching out of 2 Tim 4:1-5 and gave a great charge to young Phil (who turned 38 that day). At the end of the service, the elders along with other pastors laid hands on Phil. We prayed and entrusted Phil to the Lord’s service.
Below are the various songs we have been learning at our Music Co-op. Our family has really enjoyed learning these new songs and we are looking forward to our Spring performance.
- This is the Day the Lord Has Made
- A Mighty Fortress Is Our God
- In His Love and In His Pity
- Blessed are the men who fear Him
- A Joyful Life of Praise
So far here are the various tracks we have recorded that highlight each part:
